Hi Joe,

I will be on vacation in Austria at this time. Is there a project to record the webinar to people unable to attend ?

PRICE: $997 before June 16th; $1097 after

XYZ is a professional trader and long time Wave59 PowerUser, having spent the last twenty years developing and honing his tools into methods that give him a razor-sharp edge. Coming on the heels of his much-acclaimed work on ellipses last year, XYZ will present the work he’s done on his 5-point pattern, which can be used to trade any market. You will learn the basics of the pattern, how to use it to project turning points in price and time, and most importantly how to then trade those turns. XYZ has combined Fibonacci, geometry, and pattern recognition into a powerful all-in-one analysis approach that will let you pinpoint extremely high probability trading opportunities on any market and time frame.

Is that the new modus operandi - first sell XYZ's methods as "...a powerful all-in-one analysis approach that will let you pinpoint extremely high probability trading opportunities on any market and time frame..."  to get one to sign up for the conference/ DVD and then follow-up with the real thing?

And what is next year?

Herman,

Help me understand the point here?

Are you critical of Barrie, Earik or both? Why?

What language would you use to promote PUC?

Hi HT,

You bring up a good point here, so I think an explanation is in order..

and making these tools available for everyone was my idea, so even a better reason for me to respond.

There are two very different items on the table here.

First we have the Basic 5 point tool, which enables us to do a lot with a few clicks - saving a lot of time for the trader who is inclined to use these types of line/geometry based tools. The general approach to looking at 5 point patterns has been stuck in the same "ratio" mode as far as I can remember. The w59 approach packs a number of options in to one tool making it not just easy to use but practical for day to day use. The tool helps answer one of the biggest questions Gartley traders have had for years - how do I know when the 5th point is complete? And when is the best time to take that trade.

I don't think there is a question as to the validity and the usefulness of the 5 point tool - it's a stand alone trading methodology on it's own. The free webinars show how to use it - not to mention all the books out there on the classical approach.  It is the real deal all on it's own and is superior to any other software based methodology used today to analyze 5 point patterns. I thought it would be a great addition to the wave59 toolbox and it provides a nice overlay to anyone that is interested in using the tool or exploring these patterns. No other platform has a tool like this with all the functionality and ease to satisfy even the most fanatical Gartley fan :-)

The advanced material I was going to present in the fall but because of changes to my schedule and priorities it would be better to present the work now and be done with it. These tools and techniques can be used not just with the 5 point patterns but in a number of other market situations.

If I had to describe the tools and the approach in a sentence - I'd say, it's an esoteric approach using geometry. I won't say sacred geometry because all geometry is sacred:-) These tools allow us to reach finer realms of discernment. And that enables us to understand what I call the archetype of a pattern. And being able to identify the most probable way a pattern will unfold surely gives us an advantage in trading.

The Basic version is a stand alone foundation that can be used as it is. The advanced tools are more like having access to a laboratory where you can use one or a combination of tools and techniques to decipher the details that will give you a better perspective or understanding of the the markets current condition and what it's most likely to do next. This goes to the heart of "trade what you see".

The biggest benefit of these tools for me is saving time! Drawing precision lines measuring things on charts can take hours, specially if you are working up a new chart or a new opportunity. These tools allow you to do everything with a few clicks and with accuracy - this to me, is the biggest value. At this point in my life, time seems to be one of the most valuable things.

A question came to mind while writing this  - Why do I even use these tools? ...let alone share them? or why would anyone need these tools?

The last thing traders need these days is yet another tool. If we get past the tool and see what moves the market, we'd agree it's perception that drives the market at the most pivotal level. When one is looking to sell another is looking to buy. These two positions are polar opposites, yet those two and every variation in between exists every moment of the trading day. Obviously how we perceive the market at any given moment is crucial.

There is a school of thought that might help traders better understand the emotional and intuitive currents we have to deal with every day. If we follow the idea of crowd psychology, then its the collective unconscious that has the biggest effect on traders. The collective unconscious of all the traders to be exact and this collective is further delineated by how traders are relating to the market. For example, all traders that are using moving averages will respond in unison in the collective to various observations during the day. The same can be said for those using trendlines or momentum indicators and so on.

It's important to be aware of which collective unconscious we are connected to during trading. Because this will influence your emotions and the ability to make decision during the trading day. The collective unconscious can be of help in some cases but when it comes to intuitive thought and individual decision making it's best to have the smallest possible identification with any group consciousness – because of the obvious influence.

One way to limit this often negative influence is by changing your perception of the market. The easiest way to do this is by using tools and techniques that will give you consistent results over time while preserving the unique perspective it offers.

As soon as you accomplish this, you minimize the influence of the collective unconscious  - and be free to make decisions based on your own analysis, insights and determinations.  This will eventually lead to mastering the behavior of the markets on your own terms. The collective unconscious will always have some effect but I feel changing our vibration to reflect our own uniqueness can only lead to self mastery. Now that I think about it, I feel this is probably the prime driving factor behind my attraction to leaving the beaten path and using tools that offer a different perspective.

I might have gotten a little more wordy than I wanted but I was on a roll :-)

Anyway, I hope ( at least the first part of the reply ) will help answer your question. I appreciate your question for it's openness and making me think about what we are doing and why. It's always good to have a reality check.

Be well. Barrie

Yes HT, I am curious, new material right after the conference?  the 5pt tool is truly something to behold and now, right on the heels, more revelations.  Barrie, you are something else and by now it should come as no surprise that inspiration rolls out on top of inspiration here at wave59. I can say I'm excited to buy Barrie's new material.  I just paid for it today using the 5pt tool and all the great wave59 tools.  Sometimes its a duel to see which combo will provide the returns so its fascinating.

Barrie your observation about whats in the view finder has never been more appropriate than now, for me, so thank you for taking the time to elaborate, very opportune.  So yes i will be consuming of your newest seminar.  stevee

Barrie,

Your response is very much appreciated.

After reading it over several times, I can only say - trading is such a fascinating endeavor and has so many facets!

the influence of the collective unconscious and try to ride it as long as possible and only at the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yd60nI4sa9A&feature=related I really have to watch the market action for further clues. These markers told me e.g. today that there could be potential mood changes just before 9am and again shortly after 1pm. The rest of the w59 toolbox is used to find confluences and to keep the operator busy

Cheers

Hermann

Count me in even though i'm on my hol's[looking forward to the recording +++]

By the way Barrie , have you had an opportunity to view Ross Beck's work/book  yet on Gartley..he's got a nice little tool called "The Beck Emblem",which i guess  the pattern builder in Wave 59 can draw.

Hi Everyone!

…your kind words are truly appreciated :-)

When you put yourself out there with material and techniques
you never know what to expect in the form of feedback, comments etc. I have
found the process to be enjoyable, where I end up learning a lot of new things
as well.

Most of these tools and application methods are my own and
to this day have not seen anywhere. The tools and the methodologies will surely
widen your horizons and wake up some parts that might end up helping your
trading in a major way. We will continue to add and refine tools in this
package and all future updates are part of the ownership.

Dave, I have not seen the Beck stuff but after reading your
email, I googled it and found a video and saw what it looks like. We have some
circle based tools but not the emblem. I’m not sure how effective the emblem
might be on it’s own – it does look intriguing.
The tools we have, helps you look at the structure from several
dimensions, allowing you to have a pretty comprehensive understanding of what’s
going on in the chart.

If you have signed up for the workshop, make sure you
understand the basics – specially what the pattern looks like, it comes in all shapes
and sizes, unless you are looking for them, some might escape your eyes. Try to
find patterns and if you have questions as to the quality of your find, please
feel free to post and ask any questions in one of the 5 point threads.

Again, thank you for your confidence and support.

Barrie

Fresh out of the oven - this is the ES4 min chart from the 13th of June. The low came in perfectly based on the rules we listed at PUC. I added a couple of advanced tools to see how well the tools were in sync.

Supporting the low;

1. ratio/retracement
2. circle support from advanced tools 1
3. trendline support from advanced tools.
4. timing; AC=CD ( AC*1.0 )
5. 1260 target from advanced tools
6. -A parallel line support
7. circle support from advanced tools 2

While the chart above is focused on the 4 min, the chart below is the ES60 min balancing the BC move by touching the -C line to the tick. There is also circle support and level support added from the advanced tools. From what I posted earlier, we also had the daily chart on support.

june 30th is the advanced 5point pattern webinar.

the full insight 5point pattern webinar is to be announced at a later time.  lol.  i couldn't resist.

o,

if you haven't already, watch the free webinar on the basics of the 5point pattern.  or in the alternative, barrie's presentation on the puc2 dvds also presents the basics of the pattern usage if you have purchased or are considering those.

if after viewing those materials and it resonates with you, you should consider access to the advanced 5point webinar.  sounds fair to me.

Hi Owens,

June 30th workshop is more than sufficient to gain full insight in to the 5 Point Phenomena :-)

The tool, as you know is divided in to two parts - the basic and advanced. You can gain a very good understanding of the basic 5 point tool and methods by watching the free webinar - it's available in the video archives when you log into your account. If you are only used to looking at Gartley type patterns using ratios, then the 5 Point tool will certainly give you a huge edge over the classical approach mainly because of the insight you have gained through geometry.

The advanced tab includes a set of very elegant tools that will allow you to see any 5 point pattern in it's proper perspective by giving you the ability to look at it from several different dimensions with just a few clicks. What I mean by proper perspective is, you'll be able to calibrate the pattern quickly to see if it's even worth trading and if the risk/rewards add up to your liking. These tools can be used on the 5 point patterns and a few other market conditions.

What goes hand in hand with the tools, will be the techniques, you will gain insight into not only how to use the tools but also how these tools and techniques can be used outside of the 5 point realm. So the combination of these things will help you gain a very deep, holistic understanding of this archetype.

As I have said before, the biggest benefit of these tools is how much time it saves me. You can do a full analysis in under 3 minutes. A quick analysis in under 30 seconds. Doing the same work by hand, will take hours and the margin of error is larger. The speed allows you to build up stock charts very quickly and save them to watch lists.

I hope this helps you understand what the workshop has to offer. The one prerequisite is that you practice with the basic tool and get comfortable selecting the pattern and understand the relationship between the swings and the parallel lines - all covered in previous videos.

Thank you for the question.

All the best,

"announced at a late time.." haha! ..it actually made me laugh :-)

it's funny because as you know this workshop was not even planned till much later or if at all, because I was considering writing a book on it. Then, because of some changes that will effect my schedule and free time available, thought it might be good to do it now. I'm sure it looks different from the outside :-)

Now that I think about it, it's much easier to teach with a video than a book. To write a book that will contain every nuance of a video will take at least a year.

You are right about the last line, the basic tool should certainly resonate with you and you should be comfortable with what it shows you. Some people are not pattern people and some are not geometry people. Even though the tool makes geometry very easy to do - because it's all automated - the trader has to be comfortable with patterns and this type of approach.

It's interesting, compared to the 100's of indicators available, there are only a handful of geometric tools - the perfect balance, it seems,  is a combination of indicators and geometric tools - so hopefully these tools will help enhance all the tool boxes and offer traders a path less crowded.

it's available in the video archives when you log into your account.

Click on 'instructional videos and webinars' when you're logged into your member page.  If you don't have a current Wave59 license, not to worry, we'll email you the link to the basic webinar after you sign up for the advanced webinar.
